Just a quick snap tonight while packing. Dori and I are off to DC on business for the rest of the week, so I may be a little slow with updates.

These were taken today at the Johnson Mill Preserve in Chapell Hill. We also saw a Blue-gray Gnatcatcher and a Red-Tailed Hawk!

Still trying to get that lovely crown, but I must have something wrong in the setup. Oh, and it turns out, it’s much easier to do this when you have a lovely assistant! :-)

These flowers have been blooming in my neighbor’s garden for the past few days. I finally found one that was fresh and healthy, and the wind cooperated, mostly, during my 20 minute shoot.

We hosted a small sedar tonight – it was quite a success! Hope you like our fancy hagaddahs. ;)

We saw some Yellow-Throated Sparrows today too, but the shots of them were all obstructed.
