I rented the Canon 85mm f/1.2 for a weekend shoot with my buddy Dave Cross, and OJ was my test subject. Letting this one go back to Memphis on Monday is going to be tough…

Just doing a little more tent practice tonight, using Dori’s music box. This ballerina belonged to her grandmother, and Dori inherited it after she passed.

These came to us by way of one of Dori’s study participants. They’re tart!

I needed some portrait practice, and Dori was kind enough to humor me for a little while tonight.

I unfortunately was stuck inside all day today doing work. So I made some corny puns and called it a night.

These were Dori’s fine work for the evening. With this shot I did a little experimenting with a new light modifier I got today – a DIY ringflash kit. I used the RF as fill and a bare flash as my key. I definitely have a lot to learn with using the RF, but by the end of my little shoot I had some idea of what I was doing, which is always nice.
