I most appreciate the speed this project has given me when its cold outside.

Parasitism may be closer to the truth, since I’m not sure the tree gets much out of the deal.

I would have liked a little more depth of field, but working with insects is presents its own unique challenges. Turns out, they’re not so interested in staying still while I fiddle with lights.

This is what I was aiming for yesterday.

I’m not sure I’d file this in the ‘success’ column, but you can’t win them all.

This shot has a hair more camera shake than I would normally accept, but I liked the color and texture enough to let it go.
