At the Mason Farm Biological Preserve, with Abigail in tow. It was her second visit of the weekend, to celebrate the 60-degree weather.

I’m still “on hold” for this 52-weeks project, but I managed a little time for some macro fun today and I was pleased with what I got. :)

With my newborn daughter here, parenthood is already in full swing for me and my wife.  I’m going to take a break from this project for a few weeks until things get settled.  Wish me luck!

All shots taken at the wonderful Sarah Duke Gardens. The crab spider on the last shot was a bonus – I didn’t realize it was there until I reviewed these shots a day after.

I spotted this lady from the kitchen window, she was so huge. She was carrying her young on her back (click through to Flickr to see that shot).

Overall I am mostly, kinda, sorta happy about this shot. I wanted a different subject, but the weekend was just too busy with house prep for our coming baby. It turns out that spider webs are really hard to light in an impressive manner when they’re so close to your house. My neighbors probably think I’m insane…

I took this shot today because my weekend was insanely busy. I like it, but hopefully I’ll find something better during the week.
